External power supply and internal lighting
Jay was absolutely superb in both his communication and carrying out of the work that we needed. I would highly recommend him!!
Light fittings, new switches in house and garage
Great job by a good professional who knows his stuff, 100% reliable and trustworthy. I have an engineering background and his advice on the lighting job from bulbs to the fittings themselves was spot on. If I need to have future work done, he would be the person I would get in for sure.
Garage lighting
Jay at Select is absolutely fantastic. Quick visit to talk through options and then quote arrived next day. Jay was fantastic throughout, great communication and all work carried out to an excellent standard and exactly as requested. To top it all Jay is a lovely guy and I would not hesitate to call him again for any future work we require.
New ceiling lights and kitchen cupboard lighting
I couldn't recommend Jay highly enough. He has always managed to fix all our electrical problems. He is such a lovely, reliable and honest man and I now don't even bother getting extra quotes, I just go straight to Jay if I need any electrical work doing.
Ring cameras and additional sockets
Arrived on time and performed agreed work to an excellent standard. Whenever there were decisions to be made all considerations were communicated so I could make the decision. Very happy with the results and will use for any other electrical work required.
Under cabinet kitchen lighting

Downlights in bedroom, outdoor light and socket
Jay was amazing, he’s a perfectionist in his work (and that’s rare for us to say as we are very particular). I could tell Jay was very experienced in his role as he really helped with deciding where to put downlights in an awkward shaped room, but at the same time didn’t push his advice. I couldn’t recommend Jay enough, he did a really great job for some picky customers.
Installed Nest doorbell and external cameras
Jay, as always, was extremely courteous, tidy and reliable. We actually paid less than the original quote as it transpired we did not need certain items from the original agreed quote and Jay was forthcoming about this as soon as it transpired and revised the fee accordingly.
Downlights in master bedroom and on landing
Really pleased with the quality of the work carried out by Jay. He was punctual, courteous and has done a really good job. It is always good to find a tradesman who you know you will always use again in the future. Thoroughly nice chap too. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending Jay.

Jay really cares about the quality of his work. He centralised our slightly off centre (new build) light fixtures and rolled out dust sheets everywhere he went in the house. The lights look amazing, we could not be happier. Highly recommended!
New consumer unit, earthing/bonding and removal of old units
I found Jay via Checkatrade and was absolutely delighted with the job done. He came around to quote exactly when agreed and took plenty of time checking everything out, looking at the best options and gave me a real sense of confidence in fixing problems left by a previous house owner! On the day of the job, he turned up bang on time and set about making sure everything would stay clean and tidy. He kept me well informed throughout the 2 days, explaining what and why, including fixing some additional issues in the house. Lovely bloke, top professional, absolutely recommended.
EICR carried out
Jay was fantastic - very communicative on the phone, able to carry out the EICR sooner than most other electricians I contacted and did so very thoroughly indeed. He provided the quote incredibly quickly and was then also kind enough to answer my follow-up questions later, too.
